Bull Bar 101
Bull bar is a tubular product
designed to be mounted to the front of most newer model trucks and SUV’s.
They come in complete kits with custom fitted mounting brackets and hardware
designed to bolt right up with no drilling or modification required on most
trucks. They will be made out of 3” or 2.5” round tubing (depending on the
vehicle it is going on) and come with a built in skid plate. They are
usually made out of 304 stainless steel (chromed and or polished) or black
powder coated steel and have a built in mounting point for one pair of
lights.

Westin Automotive
is the most recognized brand name of bull bars anywhere and they offer
two styles to choose from. Style 1 is their best kit called the
“Ultimate bull bar”. It is available in what they call CPS
(chrome plated stainless) or black powder coated steel. Either way it
comes with a brushed stainless skid plate with the Westin logo cut out
in it and abs plastic end caps covering the welds. Style 2 is
the Westin E Series bull bar which is a scaled down version of
the Ultimate Bull Bar with a polished stainless finish instead of chrome
and there is no logo on the skid plate.

Trail FX is a
private label imported bull bar that is basically a copy of the Westin E
Series. They are made of fully polished 304 stainless steel just like
the Westin kit but at an amazingly low price.
